BLUE MARBLE COCKTAILS WINS GOLD AT LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL SPIRITS COMPETITION
Blue Marble Cocktails maker of all-natural ready to drink cocktails places again at this year’s Los Angeles International Spirits Competition. Blue Marble’s Coconut Island took home Gold adding to their already impressive award lineup. Spirits and mixers were judged by 21 judges from around the world. Judges tasted spirits, mixers and looked at packaging label designs over two days in May at the Fairplex and determined winners using a point system. The Los Angeles International Spirits Competition received 399 spirit entries this year from 147 producers.
This year’s competition received spirits from 24 different countries including Mexico, Poland, Australia, Germany, France, Canada, Belarus, Brazil, Japan, United Kingdom, Ireland, England, Caribbean Islands, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Panama, Venezuela, USA, Myanmar, Netherlands, Scotland, Philippines and Italy.
The public had their first chance to try the award winning cocktails from Blue Marble Cocktails at Cheers Wine, Spirits & Beer Festival on June 22. Cheers featured all the Gold medal winners from all of the 2019 Los Angeles International Competitions along with a night filled with delectable bites from local restaurants. Tastings will also be available at the LA County Fair Aug. 30 – Sept. 22. The weather was wonderful, the crowd was amazing and the experience for all was great. With 1,000 people in attendance for the evening, Blue Marble’s Coconut island received rave reviews. The Cheers ticket purchases and silent auction benefits The Learning Centers at Fairplex, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that, in partnership with Fairplex, provides a wide spectrum of innovative and enriching educational experiences that bring learning to life, benefit our diverse communities, and prepare our participants for success. The 2019 Cheers event raised $132,000 for The Learning Centers.
