Las Vegas, Nevada – July 1, 2019 – More than 30 spirit industry leaders and upwards of 500 spirits brands participated in the inaugural PR%F Awards and PR%F Awards Design Distinction during a two-day blind-tasting point-rating competition in Las Vegas June 16-18, 2019.

Blue Marble Cocktails was awarded a total of 9 medals and 2 gold medals at the 2019 PR%F Awards, a spirits competition designed to crown the leading spirits with accolades, recognition and an entryway into the marketplace. The event was held at Tivoli Village in Las Vegas.

The awards competition was open to spirits brands, domestic and international, with nearly 100 categories to enter. In addition, a selection of spirits brands also participated in a design award program to crown top labels, bottles and creative marketing. All spirits were rated on a proprietary 100-point system crowning medals to those who scored 70 points or above. (Bronze: 70 – 79 (Daily Drinker); Silver: 80-89 (Praise); Gold: 90-95 (Highly Recommended). All spirits were evaluated in NEAT, the official judging glass, scientifically designed to deliver the best aromas for evaluation and enjoyment.

“It was a remarkable two days of introducing new spirits brands to buyers and collectively discussing the current trends of the beverage industry with the most talented minds in the industry,” said Michele D. Blue Marble Cocktails maker of all-natural ready to drink cocktails places again at this year’s Los Angeles International Spirits Competition. Blue Marble’s Coconut Island took home Gold adding to their already impressive award lineup. Spirits and mixers were judged by 21 judges from around the world. Judges tasted spirits, mixers and looked at packaging label designs over two days in May at the Fairplex and determined winners using a point system. The Los Angeles International Spirits Competition received 399 spirit entries this year from 147 producers.

This year’s competition received spirits from 24 different countries including Mexico, Poland, Australia, Germany, France, Canada, Belarus, Brazil, Japan, United Kingdom, Ireland, England, Caribbean Islands, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Panama, Venezuela, USA, Myanmar, Netherlands, Scotland, Philippines and Italy.

The public had their first chance to try the award winning cocktails from Blue Marble Cocktails at Cheers Wine, Spirits & Beer Festival on June 22. Cheers featured all the Gold medal winners from all of the 2019 Los Angeles International Competitions along with a night filled with delectable bites from local restaurants. Tastings will also be available at the LA County Fair Aug. 30 – Sept. 22. The weather was wonderful, the crowd was amazing and the experience for all was great. With 1,000 people in attendance for the evening, Blue Marble’s Coconut island received rave reviews. The Cheers ticket purchases and silent auction benefits The Learning Centers at Fairplex, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that, in partnership with Fairplex, provides a wide spectrum of innovative and enriching educational experiences that bring learning to life, benefit our diverse communities, and prepare our participants for success. The 2019 Cheers event raised $132,000 for The Learning Centers.

The Stuttgart International Spirits Competition is an opportunity for international brands to position their spirits in front of the most distinguished professionals in the industry.
